abc 2 new' linda stow is at the scene right now. linda, what can you tell us? >>reporter: megan, the fire is out, but it required a massive response from baltimore city firefighters. you can see those trucks lining the street here. the building that caught on fire is actually on the other side of these trucks. we're told at 3:55 this morning firefighters were called to the parkside garden apartments. when they got here, they found a three-story garden-style apartment building fully engulfed. there was fire on the first, second, third floor and flames coming out through the roof. several people had to jump to escape the flames. firefighters we're told also had to rescue people hanging out of their windows. again, seven people were taken to the hospital. those are six adults, two were in serious condition, one of those being a child who was rushed to hopkins trauma. no firefighters were injured. the cause of this fire remains under investigation and we're told the red cross is on their way to help with those who have been displaced in this fire. we'll stay on top
